In the brand-new Hawkeye Episode 6 featurette, Yelena Belova (recurred by Florence Pugh) faced up against Clint Barton (recurred by Jeremy Renner). The final episode of Hawkeye for this season is set to air this week. The episode will include the return of Yelena Belova, the sister of Natasha Romanoff (Scarlett Johansson), popularly known as Black Widow. Now, Yelena originally appeared in Natasha’s standalone film before reappearing in the fourth episode of the MCU series Hawkeye, where she battled with Clint Barton, played by Jeremy Renner, Kate Bishop, portrayed by Hailee Steinfeld, and Maya Lopez, played by Alaqua Cox. Belova fought with Kate Bishop in Hawkeye Episode 5, stating that she wants Clint Barton to be forgotten since she still believes he is responsible for the murder of her beloved sister Natasha.
Now, when it comes to Florence Pugh, we have seen her rise in the world of Hollywood over the last few years. She featured in various notable films, like Netflix’s Outlaw King, in which she co-starred with famed actor Chris Pine, the wrestling film Fighting with My Family, Ari Aster’s bizarre horror thriller Midsommar, and this year’s Black Widow. Florence Pugh will also appear in Don’t Worry Darling (directed by Olivia Wilde), and she will star in the film Oppenheimer (directed by Christopher Nolan).
What are We Gonna See In Episode 6?
To get fans excited for Hawkeye Episode 6, Marvel has released a new teaser (more of a Featurette) focusing on Yelena Belova’s return. So, what exactly is in that video? Florence Pugh discusses her surprise return as Yelena Belova in the Marvel series Hawkeye. She expresses surprise that she will be competing against Jeremy Renner’s Clint Barton (even though this thing was teased at the end of the post-credit of Black Widow). Scarlett Johansson’s character, Black Widow, introduced her to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Scarlett Johansson has been at odds with Marvel Studios since they released her film Black Widow on both online platforms and in theatres, violating her contract with the company. This programme is said to have had the worst start of any show represented by Disney+ and Marvel to date. It aired after Loki and had around 40% viewership. One of the numerous reasons for this may be because there were more characters than the programme needed. This also includes numerous returning characters, such as Yelena Belova, and the Kingpin (recurred by Vincent D’Onofrio), who is making his way into the MCU following his debut appearance in the popular Netflix programme Daredevil. When we consider Yelena’s contribution, we can see that her character has been extremely valuable to the story, and her entrance was appreciated. We can only hope that her involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe will result in a better Black Widow.
