The first episode of Marvel Studios’ Moon Knight, “The Goldfish Problem,” was published on March 30, 2022, and was one of the most anticipated titles from the studio. In Moon Knight Episode 3, you’ll learn more from a number of sources that encapsulate both the series’ character drama and the larger world-building, while also getting your first sight at the real Moon Knight. Underneath it all, a pretty straightforward tale emerges, although it’s muddled by several personas, Egyptian mythology, and the normal MCU commitments. Moon Knight Episode 3 will discover that the bigger paintings are starting to take on increasingly clearer outlines after the previous expedition that brought both Stephen and Mark to Egypt.
What happened in the last episode?
After the museum was attacked at the conclusion of the premiere, Stephen started to wonder whether he was insane. He enters a storage box with his key after being fired from a gift store job and finds a duffel bag containing a rifle, money in several currencies, a passport with Mark Specter’s name, and a golden scarab. Layla, Mark’s wife, was also introduced to Stephen. She appeared to know something about his activities that Layla didn’t, but she didn’t know about his double life. Stephen was tracked down by Harrow’s goon. Harrow revealed that he was the first incarnation of Khonshu and wished to resurrect another Egyptian goddess, Ammit, in order to prevent evil things from happening. This involves removing those who may do something bad in the future, i.e. condemning the innocent.
Prediction for the upcoming episode
It’s amusing to watch Stephen playing a chatty supporting part, complete with a chime from the reflexes when Mark controls his body. Moon Knight Episode 3 should be a complete 180-degree turn from the previous two episodes. How does Stephen/Mark intend to discover Ammit’s tomb if the golden Scarab points to there and Harrow has it? Simply follow Harrow? It seems to bring a lot of purposeful ambiguity to Khonshu. Because the original sources are unknown, was this dynamic borrowed from the comics? Is Khonshu a villain who, like Layla, manipulates Stephen/Mark in the past? In terms of Layla, is Marvel constructing a love triangle? Stephen quickly started to express his feelings for her, most likely because Mark loves her enough to bid on Khonshu solely to keep him away from her. There is some uncertainty regarding the immediate future.
