Venom, Spider-most Man’s recognisable foe, finally received his own standalone film in 2018 from Sony Pictures. It was followed by a sequel in 2021, and the Tom Hardy-led trilogy has both a sizable fan base and a sizable following of haters. Many have questioned its justifications, questioning the sense in which a Venom movie would be produced without Spider-Man. This page will talk about Venom 3.
As he planned to take ownership further and redefine the symbiote-powered enemy, Hardy was noted for playing a more active part in the sequel. Even the second movie’s production was under his control. It should not come as a surprise that Sony has started production on a third film given the success of its first two releases.
Venom movies’ Plot till now
Eddie Brock, the lead character in the first instalment of Marvel’s anti-hero series, quit his work as an investigative journalist after attempting to discredit the tech tycoon Carlton Drake. Brock and Venom meet as a result of Drake’s sinister symbiote experimentation. A human host is necessary for the survival of the alien organism known as venom.
They collaborate as a duo in an effort to catch Drake in his illegal deeds. They discover via these processes that they are more alike than they initially believed. Brock visits serial killer Cletus Kassidy in jail after the work is over and the mess is cleaned up, which he regrets afterwards.
Naturally, the plot of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, the sequel, hinges primarily around Venom’s post-Venom happenings. We can see that Cletus Kassidy, who provides Eddie Brock with numerous noteworthy features to write about his misdeeds, is still a part of Eddie Brock’s life. Brock is later attacked by Kassidy, which forces Venom to defend Brock.
Will there be a Venom 3?
The news that there would be a third instalment in the Venom franchise should excite fans of the character. This comes directly from Tom Hardy rather than some random website or unidentified source. Venom 3 is currently being worked on, Hardy announced on his Instagram feed. His tweet showed Kelly Marcel, who has now returned to write the script, had previously scribed the property.
This indicates that, similar to the second film, Hardy contributed to the story in this one as well. Hardy previously revealed the following to Digital Spy:
These things typically come in sets of three. THEY DEPEND HEAVILY ON THE SUCCESS OF EACH INDIVIDUAL ONE, SO YOU CAN’T COUNT ON THEM EVER HAPPENING AGAIN, SO EVERYONE HAS TO BE AS IF IT WAS THE LAST ONE IF THERE’S GOING TO BE A NEW ONE. But if you enter anything thinking that steps one, two, and three are the same, I think it’s really important that you realise that. IDENTICAL STORY, IDENTICAL MOVIE Therefore, you won’t catch yourself off guard by having to perform a third task out of the blue. A CERTAIN LEVEL OF CONTINUITY INTO A THIRD, FOURTH, AND FIFTH IS REQUIRED; IF SOMEONE SAYS “NO,” THAT’S FINE. SET IT AWAY AND CONTINUE WITH OTHER THINGS.
Is there a release date for Venom 3?
At the time of writing, the release date for Venom 3 has not been officially announced. The sequel is currently being written, as we mentioned above, but there is no word on when it will go into production.
Venom 3 probably won’t arrive any sooner than expected, despite rumours to the contrary. If the past two films in the franchise are any indication, it may arrive in theatres by October 2024. So, the release date has to be 2024.
What will be Venom 3 about?
Many believe and hope that Spider-Man: No Way Home will serve as the basis for the events of Venom 3. It could be accurate. In an interview with Screen Rant, Venom’s director, Andy Serkis, stated that:
“I am aware that everyone wants Venom and Spider-Man to meet. I am aware of that. But I believe some of the other supervillains that live in Ravencroft have great potential. There is so much potential waiting to be discovered. I would be most interested in playing in that sandbox. Who might erupt in there while hiding there?
